Permissions
Use Simply Templates
In order to be able to use Simply Templates and see the option "Save as Template" in the page menu, you need to have at least one of the following permissions:
- permission to create global templates,
- permission to administer at least one space in your instance of Confluence.
If you don't have neither of these two permissions, the option "Save as Template" will not appear in the page menu.
Permission to create a Global template
In order to be able to create a global template with Simply Templates, you need to have the native Confluence permission to create a Global template.
In case you can't create Global templates but you are an administrator of at least one space, you will be able to use Simply Templates for creating Space templates. In such a case the selection between Global template and Space template is not present in the Save as Template dialog and a list of spaces in which you can save your template is provided.
Permission to create a Space template
In order to be able to create a space template with Simply Templates, you need to be a Space Administrator of at least one space in Confluence. Otherwise you are not allowed to save a new template in any space. The list of spaces of which you are an administrator will appear in the "Space" selection box.
Using "Edit after save" feature
By selecting the "Edit after save" option, you will be automatically redirected to the newly created template in Edit mode. You can thus immediately make quick modifications to the new template and save it in the requested form.
